Love at First Sting – Release (1979)
Love at First Sting became the most successful album of the band in the USA where it peaked at number 6 on the Billboard 200 chart in 1984 and went triple platinum. The song "Rock You Like a Hurricane” reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the same year, "Still Loving You" reached number 64 on the same chart, number 14 inGermany, number 2 in the French and Swiss TOP 50.

Blackout – Release (1982)

This effort by Scorpions shows off their uncanny ability to pull off energetic songs and to produce an easily commercialisable brand of heavy metal with a pop shine. A hit single (“NO One Like You”)from this album was the first real success the band had in America.Other singles include the heavy title track, the furious "Dynamite", the hard rocking anthem "Can’t Live Without” and the ballad “When the smoke is Going Down.

Lovedrive – Release (1979)

This was the first album to feature Matthias Jabs as the band's new full-time lead guitarist, replacing Ulrich Jon Roth. Jabs has been with the band ever since.The risqué cover, created by the design firm Hipgnosis, , caused some controversy upon the album's release and was initially sold wrapped in paper. Later pressings of the album bore a simple design of a blue scorpion on a black background.
